FACTORY as a Maker of Culture – MANIFESTO

The second step after the expanded filed analysis was the manifesto. Our project is called “FACTORY as a Maker of Culture”. So we first need to understand what is factory and how it can make culture. The manifesto is about that what we can call a factory and how it should be to make culture.

MODERN DENEMELER 5- AŞI

I went to an exhibition a couple of weeks ago in Salt Ulus. It is called AŞI by Aslıhan Demirtaş. Aşı means grafting in Turkish. It is about  geographical, cultural and communal affects of dam lakes in Turkey.

“Grafting is the insertation of desirable or desired plant’s cut branches onto a stock plant. Plants selected for desirable characteristics that can be mintaned by propagation are called cultivars and are used as scions.”
